Sound sculptures

These artworks are a part of my AP 3D portfolio over sound. Each piece is meant to represent how one can perceive sound visually without any context or actually hearing sound. There will be more to come from this series soon.

Abstract acrylic paintings

Inspired by Jean Michel Basquiat, these paintings were meant to work on abstract expression through artwork, the bottom piece being the first attempt; combining aspects of a 3D wire sculpture and collage. The group of three was a Mini series ascending and descending in mood and the last, the very top piece was a final overture of the mini series.

Encaustics

The Artwork above is part of a collection in which Josiah recently made during an encaustic workshop. There is no true theme to the paintings, though they all mostly match in warmth and color. Encaustics are an ancient form of art using melted and colored wax to paint, the first and the last artwork from here are done actual encaustic piece, whereas the artwork in the middle the (cactus) was created in a monotype, where wax is melted on a metal sheet and you press a paper to transfer the image.
